Good value but not an easy job : Delphi FJ10566 Fuel Injector

My Chevy truck had the old style fuel injectors that give so many problems, me included. I found out that Chevy actually had a recall to replace the old system with this system; however, the truck is long past being covered. Soooooo, bought this system and proceeded to tear off the upper intake plenum. With all the wires going everywhere, make sure you put labels on them all as you disconnect them. Still the Chevy engineers made certain to NOT include enough length on many of the wiring harnesses so that the job is twice as hard. Once the plenum's off, just pull out the 8 injector tubes and unbolt the central plug. The kit comes with a new bracket so don't order another one separately! Bolt up the bracket, which will still be loose so that it fits back into the plenum (still a tough fit for me, so I would scrape away some plastic or grease it up real good next time). Then plug in the 8 new injectors according to the instructions that come with the kit. You WILL need a new gasket for the upper plenum. Put it all back together and away you go. No problems!
